All of the ladies had the most wonderful time and everyone commented on the beautiful house and garden! It was the perfect location for our bohemian garden party themed hen do!

| I organised a hen weekend at Hillside Croft recently for 12 professional women who wanted a different kind of hen weekend, that involved mostly relaxing and eating but also some walking and running. This cottage is beautiful, feels luxurious, is very well maintained and so is the perfect place to relax. The kitchen is well equiped, hot tub a real treat, beds comfy with good quality linen. Log burning fire and beautiful bathroom were also a hit. The large dining room was perfect for long slow breakfasts and evening meals for everyone. On organising the weekend Pat was very helpful answering my endless questions patiently and clearly. A beautiful part of the Peak District. I would recommend this idyllic, secluded cottage to anyone. Many of the ‘hens’ asked how I found it and were very impressed. The cottage was pivotal in making the weekend a success and by Monday is was quite missed by all!Clare Lovatt |

We all had a such a wonderful week at Billy’s Bothy and everyone loved the place (its defintely not your ordinary holiday cottage!)They will take back their own memories of their time there from sitting in the garden in the evening sunshine having a glass of wine or beer (sorry for filling your recycled bottle bin up) to the cows munching at the grass outside the bedroom windows in the early morning. We all enjoyed the meal you prepared for us and Tom especially loved your puddings (he did eat three!).

Well, everyone arrived home safely and I guess after two days back into the daily routine, our holiday might already be a distant memory. However, they all agreed they had enjoyed the week at Billy’s Bothy and I even heard it said, that it was the best house we had ever used. In particular, I am grateful that mum was able to spend the time with her 4 great-grandsons. It was an extra bonus that you arranged such ‘good’ weather for us – let’s face it, all things are relative and the fact that it did not rain has to be something of a miracle so far this year .Once again, thank you for making our week in your neck of the woods so enjoyable and for allowing us to use Billy’s Bothy, which we would not hesitate to recommend to friends and acquaintances.
